High School Diploma Requirements

Diploma Requirements (This applies to all FOFCAI students, walking or not.)

boy with diplomaNo diploma can be issued to a student unless all of the following requirements are complete. All seniors (and at least one of their parents) should meet with Mr. Lawson to verify all items are complete or in the process of completion.

FFCA awards Honor Cords to students that are walking at the Commencement Ceremony and who score a 20 or higher composite score on the ACT, or a 970 combined score from the Critical Reading and Math portions of the SAT.  There are no exceptions to these guidelines for earning an Honor Cord.

1)_____ School health file must be complete. A copy of the student’s birth certificate and immunization record is required to be a student in a Florida school.

2)_____ Cum folder should contain your Correct Academic Plan so we can issue correct  credits for the work completed. (If you dropped or added a course, we need to know.)

3)_____ Grades/attendance and an end-of-year *test or evaluation are required before credits can be issued.

boy taking a test image*Dual Enrollment students need to get a printout of grades from the college they attend.

*All College Preparatory Students should take or re-take the ACT, SAT or CPT test. These tests can be used as the end-of-year test, provided they were taken in March of 2014 or after. Earlier tests do not verify work completed during the second semester.

*Non college-bound students should schedule the BASI test at the school office. The BASI is given on three Saturdays. April 18th, May 16th and June 6..

4)_____ As much as we hate to talk about money, it is how we pay our staff. Families should plan on having their student’s account paid in full by April 18th in order to walk at graduation.
