About - Families of Faith Christian Academy International:
Families of Faith Christian Academy International is different than many private schools which operate in much the same manner as public schools, i.e., age-segregated classrooms, where all students meet together daily, covering the same material at the same time regardless of the students' academic levels or learning styles . The emphasis over the last fifty years has changed from local engagement with the expectation of high academic standards in grammar, math, science and foreign language to state mandated attendance that has too often become the village that raises a "socially indoctrinated citizen of the world".
While most K-12 schools continue to work within this model (with minor adjustments), most colleges have abandoned that failed "one size fits all" delivery system. Colleges continue to provide traditional classroom content for those students that are best served in that format, but the majority of students receive some or all classroom content via alternate methods such as on-line or fast track, thus meeting the needs of a divergent population.
Families of Faith Christian Academy International is focused on matching students with academically superior curricula, and the freedom to receive the material through various methods, thereby producing a high level of academic excellence.
For details on the school's recognized affiliations and accreditation, refer to the Accreditations page.
Proven Methodology - Individual Application:
Private colleges and universities (such as Phoenix University) have proven that it is not where a student attends class, but what material is taught and verified that matters. Families of Faith Christian Academy International does not discriminate based on where a student earns credits or masters a grade level. Credits earned in an accredited public or private school classroom are accepted, as are courses through a virtual school or dual enrollment program at a local college. Even courses taken at home under the supervision of his or her parents are accepted upon verication. It is the content that is mastered and verified that is the basis of advancement, not the classroom setting.
Families of Faith Christian Academy International (FOFCAI) is an Accredited Private School, Not a "Home-School":
Just as the Florida Virtual School (FLVS) is a Florida Public School, (Where students complete their school work from home) FOFCAI is a private school, and, in some of the programs offered, students complete their school work from home. Also like FLVS, students can enroll as a part-time Flex student, or, as most students do, as a full-time student where FOFCAI is the student's school of record and maintains all the student's records and attendance, including issuing their high school diploma if they complete the requirements to graduate.
