FOFCAI Program Options and Details
Two roads diverged in a wood and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.
Robert Frost
The vast majority of the students in America attend a government run public school that groups students in an age segregated classroom for the delivery of course content. But some of us explore the road less traveled. And it can truly make a world of difference in our students lives.
Sometimes it's not just one option that provides the best outcome, but two or three working together.
At Families of Faith Christian Academy International, we want you to explore the various options and hopefully find the delivery method that best meets your need. Maybe it is a physical classroom where the content is divided not by age group, but on the individual academic ability of each student. Maybe you and your students will find that an individualized approach within the home is the better classroom. For some, it will be a virtual system that takes place in the home, but the instruction comes from a virtual teacher instead of Mom and Dad. (Althouth Mom and Dad are there to assist with questions, homework, etc.) For most of us, we find that some parts from all the above would be the better path, so an individualized or "blended" approach may be where we end up.
Then there are the special catagories: like our Adult Education Program for those that did not finish high school during the "normal" time frame of their peers, or those that need to be re-programed in reading because they were not taught a complete phonics program in the early years. (If your children were sent home with "sight words", they were not given a proper phonics- based reading foundation.) And all of us at some point need some one- on- one tutoring or additional input to master a concept.
