FOFCAI Classroom-Based Program Details
The classroom should be an entrance into the world, not an escape from it.
John Ciardi (An American poet, translator and etymologist. 1916 - 1986)
Update 6-3-2024: FOFCAI has not been able to secure a campus location for the Fall of 2024 that meets the Health and Fire Department requirements currently. Although we will continue to search for a suitable location, it is recommended that families that need a full-time campus option for the 24-25 school term begin the process to fine an alternate program.

Full-Time Classroom Program Details
The FOFCAI campus program uses a customized learning lab structure, instead of the age segrated system where every student in the same "grade" is grouped and progresses at the same pace regardless of learning gaps or previous mastery they may have in the subject scheduled for that time slot. Students are evaluated individually and placed in the appropriate level course, with multiple pull outs for traditional instruction when appropriate.
The core of the system is the Ignitia curriculum from Alpha Omega. The platform is a web-based, blended learning, collaborative, interactive curriculum that provides cutting edge instruction filtered through a Christian World View. Included in the system is a wealth of resources to keep students fully engaged and challenged academically.
Individulized Instruction: Students who have gaps in core concepts can be assigned just those units or assignments needed to fill the gaps, without having to repeat an entire year in a textbook that covers every topic, when they only need to master a portion of the topics covered in the course of the school year.
Dynamic Lessons: Ignitia lessons include more than 50,000 multimedia elements like interactive games, audio and video clips, external web links, and off-computer assignments. In addition, time-saving tools for teachers include automatic grading and lesson planning, a convenient internal messaging system, and real-time reporting tools. This allows the classroom teacher to spend less time grading and more time working individually with each student in the classroom.
Intuitive Design: The student experience features easy-to-use navigation, handy notes tools, inventive day-planning functions, and enhanced flexibility to suit any student’s learning style. Meanwhile, teachers have access to concrete data that allows them to easily monitor student progress.
Student Resources
Writer: A powerful learning tool, Ignitia Writer encourages practice and revision by providing students with individualized feedback during the essay-writing process to improve composition, spelling, and grammar. It also saves teachers valuable grading time as they review student work.
Blended Learning Library: A collection of more than 250 direct instruction videos helps students gain a conceptual understanding of key math skills. The videos offer step-by-step guidance applicable in a group or individual setting, as well as blended learning environments and flipped classrooms.
Virtual Labs: Virtual labs introduce students to an interactive environment where they are in charge of solving problems and exploring a whole new world of science, technology, engineering, and math.
Text-to-Speech: This user-friendly application allows students to hear selected passages or entire lessons to promote greater understanding by simply highlighting the text within the lesson.

Classroom teachers are able to customize instruction to ensure that each student achieves academically based upon their individual learning styles, levels and abilities. Utilizing this intuitive, interactive cutting edge curriculum, our students are provided with just the right amount of rigor to help them excel at higher academic levels than they would in a conventional classroom setting.
Parents are able to monitor assignments in real-time and see how well their child is performing in real time with the Parent Portal. FOFCAI is partnering with the parents, so it is vital that we are sharing a student's progress (or lack of progress) in real time with parents.
Florida has several scholarships that will pay most or all of Full-Time campus fees. Refer to the FTC, FES-EO or FES-UA Scholarship. For Part-time and Virtual programs the FES-UA and the PEP scholarship can be used for those tuition fees.
