Algebra 1: FOFCAI Blended Classroom Course
Classes Meet Monday and Thursday
10:30 to 11:50 at the school office- Lakeland
This course is designed for high school students, but may be taken by eligible middle school students.
Algebra 1 students will study the foundational skills of Algebra, including equations, multi-step word problems, geometry basics, linear graphing and quadratic equations.
Teaching videos are provided for each lesson in addition to the classroom experience for added support.
Students will be required to have their homework graded at home.
FOFCAI will provide all tests, assessments and grades.
FOFCAI Blended Classes are open to students enrolled in FOFCAI and County Registered Homeschoolers.
Algebra 1 Supply List
TEXTBOOK: SAXON Algebra 1 (3rd edition)
Solutions Manual (Parents will be grading homework, so this is highly recommended.)
Students will maintain a notebook--3-ring binder.
Students will need lots of pencils, paper (including graph paper) and erasers.
Calculators are REQUIRED for this course. The Calculators must be scientific, but do not need to be graphing at this point. It should be noted that for students that will advance to Algebra 2, and later, College Algebra, a TI-84 or TI-85, which is acceptable for this course, will be required in the future courses.
Tuition/Fees
Registration Fee: $75 for the first student in a family; $35 for each additional student.
Note: FOFCAI students are charged a Family Registration Fee at enrollment; therefore, no additional registration fee is required for attending Blended Classes.
Class Tuition (per class): $300
Class Tuition can be paid in ten monthly payments of $30.
