Pre-Algebra: FOFCAI Blended Classroom Course
Classes Meet Monday and Thursday
9:00 to 10:20 at the school office - Lakeland
This course is designed for middle school students, but may be taken as Algebra 1A by high school students in the 2-year/2-credits Algebra 1 course.
Pre-Algebra Students will study the foundational skills of Algebra including equations, multi-step word problems, geometry basics, and graphing.
Teaching videos are provided for each lesson in addition to the classroom experience for added support.
Students will be required to have their homework graded at home before the next class, so missed concepts can be reviewed.
FOFCAI will provide all tests, assessments and grades.
FOFCAI Blended Classes are open to students enrolled in FOFCAI and County Registered Homeschoolers.
Pre-Algebra Supply List
TEXTBOOK: SAXON Algebra 1/2 (3rd edition)
Solutions Manual (Parents will be grading homework, so this is highly recommended.)
Students will maintain a notebook--3-ring binder.
Students will need lots of pencils, paper (including graph paper) and erasers.
Calculators are NOT PERMITTED for this course.
Tuition/Fees
Registration Fee: $75 for the first student in a family; $35 for each additional student.
Note: FOFCAI students are charged a Family Registration Fee at enrollment; therefore, no additional registration fee is required for attending Blended Classes.
Class Tuition (per class): $300
Class tuition can be paid in ten monthly payments of $30.
